Storyboards and animatics
Various Storyboards created for the different animated and live action projects I have been a part of from 2023 to now. Some feature as animatics while others are strictly drawn.
Teach a fish to
man (2023)
While our whole team created storyboards initially, I lead and created our main and alternate boards for this short.
Getting to explore different camera shots and angles, as well as the best way to portray the creeping dread of our protagonist was a wonderful experience. This exploration led us to having two full animatics, the first of which resembles our final short closely, but the second alternative animatic helped up narrow down the story.
Winded (2024)
These are storyboards I created for an upcoming live-action short film called Winded. We get to utilize the LED screen and virtual production set up at Stray Vista Studios in Dripping Springs, Texas. This gives us the opportunity to film in fantastical or dangerous settings with ease.

Due to the importance of the lighting in this short, as it displays our main characters emotional turmoil, I decided to fully color these boards to lock in our color transitions early.

Gigajam entry (2023)
While we never finished the animation for this entry into the 36-hour creative jam hosted by the Texas A&M Student Chapter of SIGGRAPH, I am still very fond of these boards. The prompt for this competition was "Up in the Air", so what better than a penguin pilot?
I hope to revisit this project sometime. Despite its short length it was a surprisingly tough process to try to translate it all into 3D with very little time and so much pressure.
